An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join Horizons, a vibrant new partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services in Bristol. Horizons is delivered in partnership between Turning Point, Bristol Drugs Project, and seven other local and national partners. The service comprises of 3 hubs across north, south and central Bristol and we are currently recruiting for two administrators (one to work in our north hub and one to work in our south hub).

Role Responsibility

Making sure everything runs smoothly at the heart of our substance misuse service, you’ll support the operation from our north or south Bristol hubs. This will include answering telephone calls, maintaining accurate records and helping continual focus on improving performance. This rewarding and varied role will support our teams across the service through a variety of administrative tasks – from data entry to dealing with raising purchase orders, post, stationery, petty cash as well as minute-taking.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a confident communicator who can prioritise a varied workload and provide wide-ranging administrative support – it is vital that you are able to achieve this without losing your methodical attention to detail and accuracy. Making sure everything runs smoothly will be at the heart of what you do. We are looking for a dynamic, solution focused, problem solving individual with the ability to both follow work instructions and use own initiative. You will be expected to be able to work to set targets and deadlines that the service requires and adhere to policies and regulations. You will be able to manage your time effectively, while equally having the ability to adapt priorities and be flexible. Working closely with our teams across Bristol, you will deal with a large number of professionals every day and it is therefore important you have the ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner. People skills and ability to maintain confidentiality are crucial. You will have experience with databases and knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. Demonstrating organisational and IT skills will be important and imperative.
