Turning Point is a leading social enterprise supporting people with complex needs across Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Substance Use, and Public Health. We are recruiting a Senior Substance Use Mental Health (SUMH) Nurse (RMN) to join our Wakefield Integrated Substance Use Service (Inspiring Recovery, Inspiring Futures, and Inspiring Families). Main Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health expertise within a multi-disciplinary substance use team
  • Build strong links with community mental health teams and external partners
  • Support complex case management, including advocacy and escalation where needed
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings for clients with complex needs
  • Work closely with clinical leads, including the Principal Clinical Psychologist
  • Help shape and improve service delivery to ensure high-quality care

The Ideal Candidate

  • We’re looking for a passionate and skilled nurse who:
  • Is a qualified RMN registered with the NMC
  • Has experience in mental health services (substance use experience desirable)
  • Is confident working with individuals with complex needs
  • Has strong communication and partnership-working skills
  • Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and a person-centred approach

Essential Criteria:
