As a Peer Mentor & Volunteer Team Leader in our Central London Service, you\'ll make a real difference to the lives of those experiencing difficulties from drugs and alcohol usage. Role Responsibility

As Peer Mentor & Volunteer Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting our volunteers and peer mentors. That means you’ll be involved in everything from developing appropriate protocols and implementing supervising structures, to designing and delivering training modules and providing on-the-job support and professional guidance. Beyond this, you’ll also keep a close eye on volunteer case work and help to develop and deliver our Peer Mentoring Programme and service user involvement program too.

By working closely with healthcare professionals such as GPs and social services, your dedication will make a better future.

The Ideal Candidate

An inspirational leader with plenty of experience when it comes to recruiting and managing volunteers, we’re looking for someone with great communication skills and the ability to engage and build relationships with people from a wide range of backgrounds. Experience of coaching, mentoring and training others will also be key to this role and you will hold a level 3 AET or equivalent . Ideally, you’ll have some experience in a substance misuse setting, but that isn’t essential. What is essential is that you’re passionate about supporting the community and know what it takes to work to deadlines and achieve results against specific targets and goals.
