Role Responsibility

  • Planning, organising, and leading varied in house group activities to promote service user engagement, independence, and recovery;
  • Promoting and supporting engagement in, and organising, community activities and day trips;
  • Assist in any safeguarding work necessary to support service users' safety and wellbeing;
  • Implementing regular and impromptu 1-1s with service users around activities of daily living and hobbies and interests;
  • Working with the Occupational Therapist to implement interventions and feed back on service user progress;
  • Working with the Occupational Therapist to renew risk assessments for ongoing and new activities;
  • Work with the therapy team to lead and assist in weekly service user meetings;
  • Feed back to a wider MDT about service user presentation and engagement.

The Ideal Candidate

You must be an excellent communicator and possess good people skills. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting people with mental health and have an awareness and understanding of mental health diagnoses, and mental health act.
