Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Perth & Kinross Housing and Support look for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.
Perth Housing Support Service provides support to adults with varying needs within their own homes. The service aims to enable individuals to develop the skills required to independently maintain and sustain their tenancies.
Covering the whole of Perth-shire, the service uses an outcomes focused approach, working with individuals for approximately 6‑9 months to achieve mutually agreed outcomes and ultimately prevent homelessness.
The support we provide is always person‑centred, involving people who know the person well – family, friends, other health and social work professionals, advocacy services and our own staff members.
Responsibilities
As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives – keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
Qualifications
No previous working experience is needed; full training will be provided. Experience or competence in IT skills is required for all our vacancies. Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
