Our Turning Point Scotland Services in North Ayrshire are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or alongside others as part of a team.
Turning Point Scotland’s North Ayrshire Prevention, Early Intervention, and Recovery (P.E.A.R.) Service is a drug and alcohol support service based in Arran. We involve all individuals who use our service to shape our offerings and benefit communities. They have input into activities that support their recovery and beyond. We offer 1-2-1 support, group work, therapeutic activities including relaxation and acu-detox in various settings. We are a person-centred service, aligned with our motto: \”Your journey, your way. Your service, your say\”.
We engage in community activities and events across North Ayrshire to offer advice, guidance, and signposting to practical services. We also provide a drop-in service for individuals to access advice and information informally.
The service is open to men and women aged 18 and over who recognize they have a substance use problem and wish to start their recovery journey.
We conduct assessments to develop a person-centred support plan for each individual and offer ongoing psycho-social support through one-to-one sessions or group work. We collaborate with local statutory addiction services, NADARS, to ensure appropriate support. Additionally, we offer therapeutic support with relaxation and acu-detox sessions.
Each individual creates a personalized recovery action plan to outline their goals and steps towards recovery. We support exploring recovery options and working with other agencies, communities, families, and groups. We also encourage maintaining relationships to reduce social isolation.
We operate family support groups open to anyone affected by someone else\’s substance use.
Our support is always person-centred, involving family, friends, health and social work professionals, advocacy services, and staff.

As a Lead Practitioner, you will work with individuals with diverse support needs, providing practical and emotional support to help them achieve personal outcomes in safety, activities, community involvement, health, relationships, and wellbeing.
IT skills are required for all vacancies. Successful candidates may need to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting.
