Our Turning Point Scotland Services in South Lanarkshire are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on a 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

The South Lanarkshire Alcohol & Other Drugs REACHOUT Service focuses on supporting people over the age of 16 with problematic alcohol & drug use through an Assertive Outreach and Intensive Case Management model. The service will operate flexibly & creatively across the whole of South Lanarkshire and in partnership with existing services such as CAReS teams and The Beacons. The service will operate 7 days a week, including evenings and public holidays.

The support provided is always person-centred, involving people who know the person well, including family and friends, other health and social work professionals, advocacy services and our own staff members. The service model focuses on three key groups:

  • Individuals who do not engage at any level;
  • Individuals who sporadically engage, making it difficult to achieve desired outcomes;
  • Individuals who partially engage, where the focus is on medical treatment.

We are committed to helping individuals begin their journey to recovery whilst utilising harm reduction approaches. Safety will be at the forefront of care delivery, and we will include families and communities in the continued growth and development of the service model to assist in reducing stigma and increasing engagement and retention within the service/treatment pathway that works best for them.

We believe having the right values of respect, compassion, inclusion and integrity is important to join our team. We offer full support in completing your application.

As a Senior Relief Worker, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in daily life (e.g., keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing).

Please note that IT skills are required for all vacancies. Where applicable, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date. We value lived experience.
