This is a great opportunity for somebody to progress their career in the Logistics industry . The main function of the role:
- Assist with daily planning and vehicle scheduling
- Tracking on the day deliveries ensuring ETAs are communicated to customers and the transport operations team
- Updating Transport Management Systems
- Communicating with customers, depots, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations
- Preparing delivery notes
- Briefing drivers clearly and concisely
- Assisting with fleet admin tasks
- Using Port and Depot IT systems to create vehicle bookings and maintaining prebooked appointments
- Supporting with customer service and other basic admin tasks
GCSEs or equivalent education - Full UK driving licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Good communication skills
- Organised, detail-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literate, MS Office, and the ability to learn company in house IT systems
- Team player
- Flexible for occasional early starts/late finishes during busy periods
- Basic UK geography helpful
