Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport company. We are looking to recruit a Trainee Traffic Operator, to work in our Container Division based in Aldridge, Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for somebody to take their first step into a career in the logistics industry.

Main Functions

  • Liaising with the planner and the traffic operators and assisting where necessary
  • Tracking vehicles to ensure deliveries and collections are kept to time
  • VBS administration
  • Using essential systems to seek releases, restitution and clearances
  • Building a rapport with customers and drivers

This will be a progressive role and as time goes on, there will be more duties and responsibilities given to the candidate.

Ideal Candidate

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Teamwork orientated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible on working hours
  • Keen and willing to learn new skills

The position is full time, working Monday to Friday.
