Class 1 Container Driver in Tilbury

Overview

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Container Drivers in Tilbury depot. We can offer Day and Night shifts.

As a professional driver working for Turners Container Division, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service.

Working for our container division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close-knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.

The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service as a professional driver for Turners Container Division.
• Work with planning and training teams and other drivers and staff in a close-knit organisation.
• Be flexible with varying shift hours and ensure compliance with Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
• Contribute to a welcoming and comfortable environment for all colleagues.

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence (1 year Preferred)
• Driver CPC & Tacho Card
• 35 hours CPC
• Container experience (preferred)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots

Average earnings estimated annually £38,500 to £41,500.
