We're excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Night Transport Allocator to join our growing team at Evolve in Ketton PE9 3SX. Evolve are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised candidate to work in our busy Transport office. This role will involve planning and scheduling cement deliveries via tanker to customer sites, ensuring an efficient, timely, and cost-effective transport operation. During the night shift you will be dealing with any problems drivers may have while out on the road, liaising with the end customer if and when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the delivery of cement to various customer delivery points.
  • Ensure optimal use of fleet and driver resources.
  • Maintain accurate records using in-house systems (training will be provided).
  • Support operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with transport legislation.
  • Adapt to changes in schedule and resolve transport-related issues promptly.
  • Action any live issues with drivers that may occur.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a transport planning role (experience in the cement or tanker sector beneficial but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Good geographical knowledge (preferred).
  • IT literate with strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday Nights, 21:30 – 06:30 hours. Full training will be provided; this will take place during the day time and evenings.
