Turners (Soham) Ltd is seeking to recruit LGV Class 1 food grade tanker weekend shift Drivers to be based at our Manchester depot at Trafford Park. Shifts available: Thursday to Monday, Friday to Tuesday shifts. Nights out will be required.
As a professional driver you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism, and excellent customer service. Working for our Food Grade Division you will develop close working relationships with your planning and training team, alongside other drivers and staff members in a close-knit organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all.
The haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
As a large and ever-expanding company, Turners can take on new drivers with limited experience. All we ask is you are willing and keen to learn, growing our driving group with knowledgeable and competent members. We are always keen to take on experienced drivers and recognize the knowledge and strengths you can bring to the organisation.
Responsibilities- Perform LGV Class 1 food grade tanker driving duties at the Manchester depot (Trafford Park).
- Demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent customer service in all interactions.
- Collaborate with planning and training teams and other drivers in a close-knit environment.
- Be flexible with start and finish times in line with varying haulage industry hours and directions, ensuring compliance with Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence
- Driver CPC & Tacho Card
- Tanker experience (preferred) but not essential
- No test drives can take place without these documents and minimum PPE of Safety Boots
