Turners (Soham) is recruiting LGV Class1 drivers to be based at our Newmarket Depot. As a professional and skilled driver you will be required to demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct to our customers. As a driver within our Fridge division, you will develop close working relationships with your planning, training, and supervisory team, and driving colleagues in an organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment. Our customers have variable delivery times that are governed by needs, capacity and schedules, meaning that drivers will need to has some flexibility, with shift starting and finishing times. Shift lengths do vary but you are expected to comply with all Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times. Turners can offer employment to suitable newly qualified drivers with limited experience, and full training will be provided to these candidates. We are also keen to engage experienced drivers who can bring expertise and knowledge to our company. – Various shift patterns available.
Successful applicants MUST have the following:
- Full LGV (C+E) Class 1 licence.
- Driver CPC & Tacho Card.
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English Weekly driving style (fuel) bonus.
- Overtime available on optional shift days.
- Weekly pay.
- Company uniform and PPE provided.
- Tax free meals and nights out allowances.
- Company contributory pension scheme.
- Paid CPC training during employment (Terms applicable depending on expiry date of current DQC).
