Turners (Soham) Ltd is one of the largest privately owned transport companies in the UK and an opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced Depot Manager to lead our Grangemouth operation. This is a key leadership role with full responsibility for all aspects of depot performance, compliance, and customer service.

The successful candidate will have experience in a depot management role and hold a valid international CPC qualification.

Responsibilities:
  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the depot, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Cover the planning for the depot.
  • Effectively manage resources and ensure optimal utilisation.
  • Responsibility for all aspects of administration, including wages and PODs (working with one other person in office).
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills, thoroughness to ensure compliance schedules are met, and dedication to provide total customer satisfaction to maintain the very highest standards.
  • Cover “Out Of Hours” on call.
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and expectations.
  • Good understanding of drivers hours and all aspects of compliance.
  • Able to work under pressure and enjoy problem solving.
  • Experience within fuel tanker transport advantageous, though not essential.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in a depot management role and a valid international CPC qualification.
