Turners (Soham) Ltd is seeking to recruit LGV Class 1 Monday to Friday Tramper Drivers to be based at our Silvertown depot E16 2EJ. Average earnings £875 plus per week and subsistence of up to £200 tax free.
Responsibilities
- As a professional and skilled driver, you will be required to demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct to our customers.
- As a driver within our Foods Grade Products division, you will develop close working relationships with your planning, training, and supervisory team, and driving colleagues in an organisation that strives to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.
- Our customers have variable loading and delivery times that are governed by factory production schedules, meaning that drivers will need to be flexible, when required, with shift starting and finishing times.
- Shift lengths do vary but you are expected to comply with all Tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
Turners can offer employment to suitable newly qualified drivers with limited experience, and full training will be provided to these candidates. We are also keen to engage experienced drivers who can bring expertise and knowledge to our company.
Qualifications
- Successful applicants MUST have the following:
- Full HGV Class 1 (C + E) licence
- Driver CPC & Tacho Card
- Tanker experience (preferred) but not essential
- (No test drives can take place without these documents and Minimum PPE of Safety Boots)
