Workshop Fitter – Castleford

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK's largest privately owned transport company and is looking to recruit LGV Fitters to be based at our Castleford workshop.

Working Hours & Shift Patterns

Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00 and 12:00 – 20:00. Every other Saturday: 06:00 – 12:00. 40 hours per week guaranteed. Overtime is paid thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
  • Work on a variety of trailer and vehicle types, including tank, refrigerated, and curtainside.
  • Demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent communication skills. Will be expected to develop working relationships with team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical experience is preferred.
  • LGV 1 licence is preferred but not essential.
  • Full driving licence essential.
  • Will receive appropriate training and personal protective equipment.
  • Open to candidates with limited experience in vehicle repairs who are willing and keen to learn.
