Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport company. We are looking to recruit a Trainee Traffic Operator, to work in our Container Division based in Aldridge, Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for somebody to take their first step into a career in the logistics industry.
Main Functions
- Liaising with the planner and the traffic operators and assisting where necessary
- Tracking vehicles to ensure deliveries and collections are kept to time
- VBS administration
- Using essential systems to seek releases, restitution and clearances
- Building a rapport with customers and drivers
This will be a progressive role and as time goes on, there will be more duties and responsibilities given to the candidate.
Ideal Candidate
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Teamwork orientated
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible on working hours
- Keen and willing to learn new skills
The position is full time, working Monday to Friday.
