Project Support Engineer – Engineering Mansfield Up to £30,000
TurnerFox Recruitment are recruiting for a Project Support Engineer on behalf of our well-established engineering client based in Mansfield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long‑term career within a technical engineering environment. Working closely alongside an experienced industry professional with over 30 years’ expertise, the successful candidate will receive full training, mentoring and genuine progression opportunities.
It would suit someone currently working within engineering, projects, technical support, quotations, manufacturing or coordination roles who is looking to progress into a more commercially focused position. You may currently be working as a Project Coordinator, Junior Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Project Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer or be an apprentice with around 2–3 years’ experience looking for the next step in your career.
The Role of Project Support Engineer
- Supporting the preparation of technical quotations and costings for bespoke engineering projects
- Reviewing customer specifications, tender documentation and technical information
- Liaising with customers regarding project requirements and quotations
- Working closely with engineering, procurement and technical teams
- Attending site visits to gain a better understanding of projects and customer requirements
- Using internal quotation and project costing systems
- Supporting projects from initial enquiry through to quotation stage
- Identifying project‑specific requirements within technical documentation
The Ideal Candidate for the role of Project Support Engineer
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Strong attention to detail
- Engineering or electrical knowledge would be advantageous but not essential
