Risk and Assurance Manager Mansfield / Hybrid c£37,372- £41,525 Excellent opportunity for an experienced risk and assurance manager to make a significant impact in our public sector clients Environment Programme Delivery Office. Your role will support project and programme managers to enhance successful delivery of current programmes. Do you have good interpersonal skills that can gain the right balance between rigour and support to provide constructive challenge to risk management and assurance, to ensure programmes remain compliant and effective? If so this role is for you…. The ideal successful for the role of Risk and Assurance Manager will have: Proven experience in risk management, assurance, and governance within a programme or project environment is crucial. Professional qualification in Risk Management, Assurance, or Programme/Project Management (e.g., APM Risk Certificate, MoR, MSP, PRINCE2). Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Risk Management, Business, Project Management, Engineering) or equivalent experience. A strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methodologies and their application in complex programmes. Knowledge of public sector governance frameworks and risk management best practices is required. Experience in leading assurance reviews, audits, and compliance reporting across programmes and projects is highly desirable, as is experience in business case assurance. You must possess the ability to analyse complex risks and develop effective mitigation strategies. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential to influence and challenge senior leaders and programme managers.
