We are recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly and established accountancy practice based in Mansfield. This is a flexible opportunity which could suit someone looking for either a full-time position or part-time hours from 3 days per week.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will assist with the day-to-day bookkeeping requirements of a varied client base, with particular responsibility for VAT and CIS returns. The role will involve:
- General bookkeeping for a range of clients
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Preparation and submission of CIS returns
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing and reconciling financial information
- Using accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
- Working with Excel spreadsheets
- Liaising with colleagues and clients to obtain information where required
- Ensuring records and returns are completed accurately and within deadlines
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Knowledge and ideally experience of CIS returns
- Experience using Xero, Sage and/or QuickBooks
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
