The predicted salary is between 50000 - 65000 £ per year.
The role will deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our Newcastle office to existing and new clients. The scope of services is flexible and depends on client requirements, covering both CDM and H&S Management.
Responsibilities
- Understand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency.
- Provide expert advice and, where required, act as Principal Designer and help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities in accordance with CDM regulations.
- Establish positive relations with existing and new clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
- Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner.
- Manage all commissions, where responsibility is assigned, to ensure both client expectations and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged.
- Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, etc., on behalf of the client.
- Liaise, proactively and professionally, with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness; support others as needed and ensure consistency, quality and profitability of shared projects.
- Compile and create relevant pre-construction information and relevant H&S files.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent).
- GradIOSH or equivalent.
- Membership of the APS.
- Experience as a Principal Designer.
- Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
- Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired, with a proven ability to meet clients needs would be an advantage.
