Turner & Townsend is actively looking to engage with an experienced NEC Supervisor to aid in the delivery of large-scale construction/manufacturing programmes in Derby.
Responsibilities
- Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 ECC, reporting into the Project Leads for each element of the Recap Programme.
- Have a regular presence on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works, ensuring the correct materials are used and to the correct standards.
- Have foresight, to enable the identification of issues/potential issues and prevent them from occurring.
- Manage any defects that do arise.
- Witness any testing.
- Attend progress meetings.
- Issue communications as per the requirements of the contract.
- Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, making them aware of any issues observed.
- Maintain contemporary records of all observations.
Qualifications
- NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
- Relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, be committed to delivering to agreed quality standards.
- Work collaboratively within a large project team, including technical advisors and construction managers.
- Confident in the use of digital systems to access project information and record defects.
- A good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) would be beneficial but not essential.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
