Within the South West region, our Infrastructure team has established strong positions across the Transport and Utilities sectors. With significant growth in recent years, we are continuing to expand our presence and are looking to connect with Project Controls Engineers and Senior Project Controls Engineers, particularly those based in Bristol, Cardiff and the wider South West area. We offer the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and programmes across the region, alongside wider UK opportunities, supporting clients in both Client PC roles.
We are seeking Project Controls Engineers who enjoy collaborating to solve complex challenges and continue to develop their technical skills and experience.
Job Objectives:
- Collation of progress data from multi-discipline teams to update project/programme schedule in a risk tool such as Risk Hive, ARM or Predict!
- Preparation of monthly reports measuring progress against baseline.
- Support training and communication in application of processes and digital procedures to support digital reporting through tools such as Power Bi.
- Support the Project Controls Manager in applying governance & assurance of Project Controls processes.
Required Experience:
- This job would be suitable for a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment.
- SPCE's should be proactive, self-starters with well developed communications and analytical skills.
- Experience of working in project or programme management environment, with responsibility for delivery or controls of individual projects, programmes or portfolios.
- Experience using controls/ general software applications such as @risk, Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office Applications.
- Reliable with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong time management skills, quick thinking and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated understanding of Project Controls concepts.
- Previous experience of working with infrastructure projects in a risk role.
Qualifications:
- Degree or qualification in a relevant discipline with some experience in a project control environment.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Predict, ARM or Power Bi would be advantageous.
- Has or working towards, Management of Risk (MoR), APM Risk or Institute of Risk Managers (IRM).
- Full UK Driving License.
