We are now looking for talented Senior Estimators with proven Water sector experience to work within the South East or Midlands regions on a wide range of projects and major programmes of work. Although our work is predominantly for regionally based clients, as workload requires, our estimating staff have the opportunity to work remotely (within region) on estimating tasks for our clients both nationally and internationally.

Our team deliver a wide range of Estimating outputs for our clients, to support their decision making, including:

  • Estimate Production (from Order of Magnitude estimates through to detailed estimates built up from first principles)
  • Estimating Support to Major Programme Set up
  • Cost intelligence and benchmarking

As a Senior Estimator at Turner & Townsend you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting leadership or managing the production of accurate and comprehensive estimates for projects/programmes
  • Playing a supporting role in the development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend
  • Playing a supporting role in the achievement of departmental objectives
  • Supporting bids for new work
  • Acting as a role model for less experienced staff
  • Staff management (where appropriate)
  • Production of estimates on complex, multi-disciplinary projects
  • Supporting development and promotion of estimating best practice
  • Staying abreast of developments within own technical area of expertise to be able to give best practice advice in line with business objectives

Qualifications:

  • Qualified to high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
  • Relevant successful experience of providing estimating services to the Water sector
  • Previous experience of working with estimating software packages
  • Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards
  • Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / A. Cost E.
