We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Generation professional to lead and drive business development initiatives within our UK Infrastructure Sector.
This role is pivotal in shaping and executing campaigns, enhancing market presence, and supporting bid strategies to secure new business.
You will work closely with our UK Infrastructure Managing Director, sector leadership, Head of Markets, Head of Major Bids, campaign managers and client teams to position Turner & Townsend as a trusted partner across major Infrastructure projects and programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Infrastructure Sector Business Generation Plan, aligned with sector strategy and growth targets.
- Drive UK-wide marketing campaigns focused on Infrastructure brand, propositions, products and services.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, industry bodies, and membership organisations to expand market reach.
- Collaborate with bid and pursuit teams to position Turner & Townsend for success in upcoming Infrastructure tenders.
- Use market intelligence, pipeline data and client insight to identify growth opportunities, prioritise activity and inform investment decisions.
- Support executive profiling and thought leadership activity for senior leaders across the Infrastructure.
- Champion the Bid to Win methodology and ensure best practice, knowledge and work-winning content is shared across the business.
- Develop and maintain bid libraries, case studies, credentials and sector-specific content to support business generation activity.
- Develop and manage sector-specific events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Leverage digital platforms (Linked In, Dot Digital, CRM tools) to execute targeted campaigns.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, contributing to quarterly board reporting and strategic reviews.
- Work closely with UK Communications Team to align messaging and amplify sector visibility.
- Mentor junior business generation staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or marketing within the Infrastructure or Government sectors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Recognised professional qualification or degree level qualification.
