Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm (1 day working from home after probation)
Our client is a fast-growing independent property business, seeking a Client Accountant to join their busy Client Accounts team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will support the accurate and compliant management of client finances, working closely with the Property Services and Lettings teams. You will also build strong working relationships with landlords, tenants, and suppliers, while having the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded professionals within the property industry.
This position is ideal for a dedicated and detail-focused professional with a minimum of two years' experience within a residential lettings agency. The successful candidate will have proven experience in chasing tenant rent arrears, updating landlords, and managing client communications. A strong understanding of financial schedules, ledgers, invoices, and the ability to analyse and manipulate data is essential.
Experience using Reapit (the primary software for this role) would be highly desirable, though not essential.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential property lettings Client Accounting role
- Experience with chasing tenants rent arrears, updating landlords, and liaising with internal departments
- Experience with tenancy compliance and financial invoicing schedules, thorough understanding of residential property related accounting processes
- Proficient with Microsoft Office package - Strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical skills and confidence with data analysis; high attention to detail & accuracy
- Problem solver with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues internally and externally
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, and ability to work effectively within a team
- Familiarity with Reapit software (desirable but not essential)
