The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality advice on the full range of employment law matters, including:
  • Contentious and non-contentious employment issues
  • Employment Tribunal litigation
  • Advisory work on dismissals, discrimination, whistleblowing, and TUPE
  • Senior exits, settlement agreements, and workplace investigations
  • Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser
  • Generate new business and contribute to the firms growth strategy
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior lawyers (as applicable)
  • Contribute to marketing, thought leadership, and profile-raising activities
  • Play an active role in firm management and decision-making
  • Candidate Requirements

    • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
    • Significant post-qualification experience in employment law (typically 8 PQE, but flexible depending on experience)
    • Experience operating at partner level or as a senior associate ready for partnership
    • Strong technical expertise across employment law
    • Proven ability to manage matters independently
    • Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
    • Business development experience or a demonstrable interest in developing a practice
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Desirable

    • Existing client following
    • Experience advising either employers, senior individuals, or both
