Our client is a well-established specialist fabrication business providing high quality components on a global basis to a wide range of industrial sectors. Due to retirement later in the year we have the immediate need to recruit a Purchasing Manager to further lead and inspire the sourcing process and overall commercial success.
The Role
You will be responsible for the procurement of commodities through the development and implementation of commodity strategies plans and the overall management of supplier relationships. Day to day you will be involved in: price negotiation, planning, production, inventory control, quality control and factory control. Experience within a manufacturing engineering environment (welding and fabrication) would be greatly beneficial with proven commercial success in a similar role.
