About the Role:
We are supporting a fast-growing, well-established business in Burton upon Trent looking to hire a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is a key role within a busy finance team, focused on supporting high-volume transactions and maintaining strong financial processes as the company continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing financial administration for purchases, handling multiple transactions at once.
- Processing high-value payments and carrying out accurate reconciliations.
- Recording cost of sales to support reporting and performance tracking.
- Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial documentation.
- Uploading and managing records in accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
- Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting daily finance operations and working closely with internal teams.
- Assisting with continuous improvement of finance processes.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping, or similar role.
- Experience with Xero (knowledge of Sage and/or QuickBooks is a bonus).
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
