We are supporting a fast-growing, well-established business in Burton upon Trent looking to hire a Part-Time Finance Assistant. This is a key role within a busy finance team, focused on supporting high-volume transactions and maintaining strong financial processes as the company continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing financial administration for purchases, handling multiple transactions at once
- Processing high-value payments and carrying out accurate reconciliations
- Recording cost of sales to support reporting and performance tracking
- Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial documentation
- Uploading and managing records in accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting daily finance operations and working closely with internal teams
- Assisting with continuous improvement of finance processes
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeping, or similar role
- Experience with Xero (knowledge of Sage and/or QuickBooks is a bonus)
- Good understanding of accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
