We're looking for a qualified MOT Technician (Class 4 & 7) to join a busy and professional workshop team in Burton upon Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tester who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work while maintaining the highest standards of road safety and compliance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out MOT tests on Class 4 and Class 7 vehicles in line with DVSA standards
  • Identifying and recording defects, failures and advisories accurately
  • Using approved MOT testing equipment and MTS systems
  • Communicating test results clearly with colleagues and customers
  • Completing authorised repairs relating to MOT failures where required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised testing environment
  • Ensuring full compliance with DVSA procedures and audit requirements
  • Supporting workshop technicians with MOT preparation when needed
  • Managing work and job progress through the workshop management system

What we need:

  • Valid MOT Tester Licence for Class 4 & 7 vehicles
  • Previous experience in an MOT testing or workshop environment
  • Strong knowledge of DVSA testing procedures and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable skills:

  • NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Diagnostic and fault-finding experience
  • Experience working across multiple vehicle brands
  • Hybrid and EV awareness or training
  • Familiarity with dealer management or workshop systems
