Build relationships. Grow a national partner network. Create measurable commercial value.

We are looking for an energetic and commercially minded Partnerships Manager to develop a nationwide network of business partners and customers. This is a high-autonomy role combining new-business development, account growth, customer engagement and relationship management. You will strengthen existing partnerships, win new customers and create more reasons for people to engage with our client and its commercial platform.

You will be based in Burton upon Trent, spending approximately two days each week visiting customers and business partners across the UK.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of developing our client's partner network and increasing its commercial value. That means building stronger relationships, identifying new opportunities and converting prospective partners into active, repeat customers. You will also help create an engaged community around the business and improve the overall customer experience. There is genuine scope to shape the role, introduce new ideas and influence how the business engages with its market.

What you will do

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with business partners across the UK.
  • Grow existing accounts by understanding customer needs and identifying opportunities to increase activity and value.
  • Build and maintain a strong new-business pipeline through outbound calls, LinkedIn, referrals, customer visits and events.
  • Clearly communicate the value of our client's platform and convert prospects into active, repeat customers.
  • Create online events and networking opportunities that strengthen customer engagement.
  • Gather customer feedback and use it to improve the overall experience.
  • Build a credible professional presence and collaborate with commercial, operational and leadership teams.

What success looks like

  • Your performance will be measured through:
  • Growth in active business partners and new customers secured.
  • Increased customer participation and repeat activity.
  • Re-engagement of inactive and infrequent customers.
  • Improved commercial performance and profitability.
  • Growth in opportunities generated through partner relationships.
  • A consistent and commercially valuable new-business pipeline.
  • Stronger engagement across online events, customer activities and professional content.

About you

You will naturally build relationships, create momentum and identify commercial opportunities. You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in B2B business development, partnerships, account management or field sales.
  • A track record of winning new customers and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to prospecting, customer visits and opportunity creation.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to turn conversations into measurable value.
  • Strong organisation, follow-up and pipeline-management skills.
  • Confidence working autonomously and taking ownership of results.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly.
  • Experience working with owner-managed businesses, national partner networks, B2B platforms or marketplace-style businesses would be advantageous, but it isn't essential.

If you enjoy building relationships, creating opportunities and turning ideas into commercial growth, we would love to hear from you.
