We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in the heart of Derby. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Payroll Assistant to join their expanding payroll bureau team.

The Role
- Managing payroll services for a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors and sizes, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with current legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a range of clients.
- Ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, and auto-enrolment regulations.
- Handling client payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and confidential employee information.
- Producing payroll reports as required.
- Liaising with the wider accounts team to ensure accurate integration of payroll data.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 3 years payroll experience.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage a varied workload and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach.
