We have been appointed by NHS England as the Programme Delivery Partner for the New Hospital Programme (NHP). The NHP, launched in October 2020, aims to build and refurbish hospitals across the UK, improving access to modern healthcare. Following a strategic review in September 2024, the government has rebalanced hospital schemes with secured funding in five-year waves. As part of the next phase of mobilisation, we are recruiting a Post Contract – Estimating and Cost Management Associate Director to support the Director leading the post contract estimating & cost management team, helping the organisation make informed decisions. This role is dedicated to support scheme delivery post Full Business Case approval with cost management in order to maintain control of the approved baseline including cost assessments of change, supporting resolution of commercial matters, risk review and verification of data.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheme cost assurance and maintaining comprehensive understanding of cost performance
- Establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Engage with Trusts, their respective Cost Consultants and Contractors to build and maintain robust cost management and reporting
- Support business case review including input to NHP governance
- Support Delivery Project Leads in the verification of scheme cost status and reporting
- Contribute to change control including the cost assessment of changes
- Support Trusts in the adoption and adherence to NHP cost management requirements and policies
