Responsibilities
- Our Expert Witness services, by assisting quantum experts in producing expert reports for adjudication, litigation, and dispute resolution.
- Our Recovery service, by assisting contract and commercial specialists in strategic advice for projects in commercial distress.
- Detailed analysis of construction projects in the UK and internationally.
- Deliver high-standard work that withstands scrutiny.
- Take a forensic and exploratory mindset, collaborate, work independently, and adapt to clients’ working methods.
Qualifications
- 10+ years construction or engineering industry experience.
- Construction-related degree and/or legal qualification.
- Experience leading pursuit of claims across the supply chain with successful negotiated resolution.
- Understanding of construction contracts and law.
- Ability to analyse project performance, identify root causes, and develop commercial strategies.
- Effective stakeholder management, chairing client meetings and working with supply-chain partners.
- Review and assess project records to establish quantum for claims and disputes.
- Working knowledge of BCIS, Cost-X, CEMAR or similar software.
- Provide strategic advice on claim basis, proceeding, or amendment.
- Assist clients, lawyers and counsel in developing positions.
- Draft detailed expert witness reports for dispute resolution proceedings.
- Stay abreast of developments in technical area.
- Provide direction to staff on specific tasks.
- Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.
- Champion and advocate the Contract Services delivered by Turner & Townsend.
