As a Senior Portfolio Manager, you partner with Portfolio Directors and client leadership to deliver portfolio and PMO services across global portfolios. You'll drive strategy-to-delivery, optimize portfolio performance, and support capital planning and governance. You'll implement robust, integrated ways of working and provide high-quality reporting and financial oversight. You act as a trusted partner, identifying risks and guiding decisions to meet strategic objectives. You'll lead governance and continuous improvement, shaping a high-performance, client-focused portfolio.

Pay / Benefits

  • Operationally lead small/medium portfolios and PMOs, and influence large portfolios
  • Maintain RAID logs, trackers, and high-quality reporting
  • Provide real-time data insights and performance dashboards
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
  • Establish stakeholder engagement plans and produce leadership-ready reports
  • Coordinate financial monitoring, budgeting, and cost reporting
  • Identify risks and embed health & safety considerations in programmes

Tasks

  • Proven portfolio or programme experience, ideally in Real Estate, Infrastructure or Capital Projects
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced delivery environments with strong prioritisation and judgement
  • Strong understanding of portfolio, programme, and project management frameworks and governance (MSP, PRINCE2, P3O, APM)
  • Team leadership across multi-disciplinary groups
  • Experience establishing portfolio controls: RAID, change control, dependency management, governance, assurance
  • Advanced analytics and reporting with KPIs and executive dashboards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of engaging senior stakeholders
  • Experience in portfolio financial management including forecasting, budgeting and governance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programme management tools
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field; professional membership desirable
