Please visit our website: Job DescriptionMain ResponsibilitiesManage aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy including pre and post contract dutiesProduce cost estimatesManage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns and prepare recommendations to the client as well as advice on procurement routesRole will be two stage procurement using NEC4Attend meetings, prepare financial reports and monitor the status of projectsTaking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes placeKnowledge and understanding of value engineeringEnsure the project remains on budget from design to completion phaseFull post contract duties including establishing the effect of variations and evaluating and negotiating final account settlementsBuild and maintain trusted relationships with clients, maintaining the highest standards of professional competence at all timesInterfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stagesSupport junior team members to deliver our cost management service efficiently and effectivelyQualificationsRequired skills and qualificationsDegree or Masters in Quantity Surveying or equivalentYou must be able to demonstrate consultancy experience and have professional membership of the RICS (or working towards this)Experience of high value and complex projects gained in a consultancy environmentDefence, workplace, retail, commercial or mixed-use sector experience desirableFirst class communicator, capable of establishing and maintaining strong client relationshipsCommercially aware with excellent negotiation and organisational skillsStrong IT skillGood negotiation skillsHigh standard of numeracyClient-facing and enthusiastic about the industryAbility to work independently and to tight deadlinesAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to effectively prioritise delivery to set deadlinesKnowledge and experienced in use of Microsoft Office packages, and CostXSox control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to when applicableThis offer is contingent upon your successful completion of a security clearance process. Your employment with Turner & Townsend will be conditional upon obtaining and maintaining the required security clearance for the duration of your employment. This will include the Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) and SC Clearance Vetting.

Please note that the security clearance process will involve background checks, and other assessments as deemed necessary by the relevant authorities.

Failure to obtain the required security clearance or any issues arising during the clearance process may result in the withdrawal of this offer or termination of employment.
