SharePoint Architect - M365

Due to growing demand for our Infrastructure Digital services, we are seeking to recruit a SharePoint Architect to support the delivery of our client-focused services. We are looking for a commercially and technically minded systems architect with a track record of delivering successful client projects, and a strong expertise of Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate & O365. This delivery-based role requires proven experience in developing systems architecture strategies, solutions, plans, designs, specifications, and frameworks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise across a broad range of systems and technologies, with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 systems architecture and capabilities with knowledge in Cyber Security. The successful candidate will possess strong consulting skills, the ability to manage relationships, and provide technical guidance across multi-disciplinary client-facing teams.

Responsibilities

• Have a proven background in system architecture, with extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems environments, including Microsoft 365.
• Design, develop, and deliver solutions in collaboration with clients and other business units to drive document and knowledge management, process automation, security compliance, and data-driven reporting and insights.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite, with strong SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate and Power BI environment design and development skills.
• Understand Copilot capabilities and leverage this within a client environment.
• Lead client engagements, interfacing with clients and technical teams at all levels.
• Produce design documents and technical specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements and systems architecture plans and approaches.
• Assess client environments and provide solutions, strategies, and advice to address issues.
• Contribute to business development activities and proposal writing.
• Provide support and collaboration in multidisciplinary delivery environments.
• Produce high-quality communications, documentation, and presentations.
• Be a champion for innovation and growth, actively mentoring and demonstrating an inclusive culture.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of T&Ts documentation and processes, translating knowledge and experience into new ideas or solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing systems architecture and solutions for M365, including SharePoint.
• Knowledge of various systems and technologies, with good expertise in M365 systems architecture.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing Microsoft 365 environments e.g. SharePoint.
• A good understanding of data management and information management.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security including ISO 27001, security best practices, identity and access management, data protection, network security, application security, compliance and governance, risk management, security frameworks and emerging threats and technologies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal – able to translate complex technical subject matter into easily understood presentations and written documentation for mixed technical audiences.
• An understanding of construction and engineering projects and programmes.
• Consulting skills, ability to manage relationships, and provide technical guidance.
• Integration testing, system testing and user acceptance testing.
• Experience in collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams.

Desirable skills include:

• Understanding of ISO19650.
• Experience in Agile delivery methodology and strong project management skills.
• Understanding or experience in Digital Twin and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
• Understanding and interest in AI tools and systems.
