The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre provides support to projects that range in complexity and size with our service offerings spanning across Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management, and Commercial Disciplines.
We provide support to the full project lifecycle both pre-contract and post contract, delivering infrastructure projects on behalf of our clients, that range from several hundred thousand pounds in value to major projects and programmes worth over £200M.
We are actively looking to expand the team due to client requirements and have talented individuals join us who will support our Defence client portfolio, whilst further developing their career, working on a range of complex and challenging commissions.
Job Description
Due to increasing client demand, we are looking to speak with Senior Project Managers to help us assist our clients deliver high profile projects across the Defence Infrastructure Sector.
As a member of our growing team, you would be working to help us make a difference with our clients in delivering highly complex projects and programmes.
You would be based out of our London office and most likely spend most of your time mixed-working with colleagues and client teams based across the South East. This role would suit someone from a defence background, but it is not an essential.
This role will operate on a hybrid working routine, with time expected in our office and a minimum of two days per week on our client sites.
Key deliverables:
- Creative and curious mindset.
- Leading, managing and developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others.
- Commercially aware; experienced in monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets.
- Project Business Case formulation detailing project’s objectives, costs and benefits demonstrating to stakeholders of its value.
- Being responsible for high quality delivery on a client assignment.
- Demonstrative knowledge and experience in one or more related business/infrastructure sector areas.
- Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients.
- Communicating effectively and focusing on efficient, collaborative and quality delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree or HND qualification in an engineering, construction or infrastructure related subject. (Relatable experience will be considered)
- Project management certification (APM/PRINCE2/AGILE)
- NEC PM Accreditations or qualifications would be desirable.

Working in teams/site attendance

Currently, we anticipate you being on client sites or Turner & Townsend offices 60% of your time, but this may flex depending on client and business requirements.
