Job Description
If you are an established Project Manager with a background or interest in exploring the Defence sector, our Midlands team is expanding its capabilities in this area. The Defence sector is rapidly growing due to client demand, and we are eager to speak with candidates with a military/defence background who thrive on working on dynamic projects. You will join an existing team aiming to grow in size and expertise to serve our high-profile clients.
Job Objectives
- Influence and support client project delivery through planning, monitoring, and controlling.
- Interact with the project team to define and interrogate the scope of work.
- Champion appropriate programme and project delivery strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Define programmes and projects to align with client business needs and context.
- Foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and update detailed schedules, manage costs, and identify variances, implementing remedial actions as needed.
- Ensure delivery of appropriate services through technical, engineering, project controls, commercial, and financial support functions.
- Prepare Business Cases and obtain necessary approvals.
- Conduct Gateway reviews.
- Maintain effective change management processes and procedures.
- Prepare regular status reports and dashboards.
- Manage project plans and monitor project KPIs.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).
- Security Clearance.
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) β Practitioner (APMP).
- Certified Project Management Associate.
- PRINCE2 β Practitioner.
