Senior Estimator – Infrastructure

Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Senior Estimators with proven experience across the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water or Utilities). Opportunities are available in our London, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester offices. Estimators may work remotely (from the UK) on estimating tasks for clients across the globe as workload requires.

Responsibilities

  • Production of accurate and comprehensive estimates and cost plans for projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Control and management of the estimating process at project level.
  • Production of estimates without supervision.
  • Supporting development and promotion of estimating good practice within Turner & Townsend.
  • Assisting in the achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Staying abreast of developments within own technical area to provide best practice advice aligned with business objectives.
  • Delivery of a range of estimating outputs to support client decision making, including: estimate production (from order of magnitude to detailed estimates), estimating assurance, estimating support to major programme setup and estimating data.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to a high standard in Estimating or Quantity Surveying with proven relevant experience
  • Relevant successful experience in providing estimating and/or QS services in a large project environment
  • Previous experience with estimating software packages
  • Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status or working towards
  • Desirable membership of RICS / CIOB / ACostE
