Turner & Townsend’s Digital & Consultancy Business Unit is seeking a talented Business Analyst focused primarily on rail sector projects across the UK. The role includes travel up to 2‑3 days per week, with future flexibility for global assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide business analysis expertise for rail sector commissions and support development of the business analysis service offering.
- Advise clients on best‑practice business analysis methodologies and document, analyze and define as‑is and to‑be processes.
- Lead workshops, assess options for process improvement, including process modelling, and support the requirements‑management lifecycle.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross‑functional teams to design and implement digital solutions.
- Develop detailed functional and non‑functional specifications and support testing of technical solution outputs to BAU services.
- Support Data Analysts in producing systems, models, and reporting; analyse model output to generate reports and commentary.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and digital innovation across projects.
- Assist in preparing presentations and materials for client pitches and internal communications.
- Help foster growth of the Digital Business Analysis service, including coaching junior analysts.
- Act as liaison between client business units and IT teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in an analytical subject preferred but not required.
- Business Analysis qualification (BCS, IIBA) or extensive experience.
- Experience of working in Agile and/or Waterfall project teams.
- Knowledge of public sector digital transformation and data analytics tools including Power BI, Power Platform, SharePoint, SQL, and MS Project.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Previous experience in the rail sector highly desirable.
