Project Manager (Healthcare) – Construction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our busy and expanding Manchester office, supporting our clients to deliver projects and programmes in the Healthcare sector, within our Real Estate division.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
  • Act as the key, day‑to‑day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
  • Advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage, including selecting approaches to achieve client objectives.
  • Establish overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
  • Plan and manage quality, safety, health and environmental issues.
  • Establish project governance processes and systems.
  • Produce detailed project plans.
  • Advise on procurement of resources.
  • Lead and facilitate the cross‑functional project team.
  • Apply performance management techniques, using KPIs to improve project performance.
  • Manage change control processes.
  • Monitor and advise on project finances.
  • Manage flow of project information between team and client through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Produce formal progress and other reports.
  • Interface with client and other consultants at all project stages.

Scope

Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale and value, typically up to £40m, though larger advisory projects may exceed this.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional qualification (MCIOB / APM or similar).
  • Proven experience managing Healthcare projects, ideally in a consultancy environment; candidates from contracting backgrounds will also be considered.
