Job Description

Due to increased opportunities and demand in the Energy & Natural Resources division, the Energy & Natural Resources team are recruiting Project Managers to join a diverse and supportive team during a period of significant growth. Our nuclear client is at the forefront of industry leading change, and we are keen to speak to individuals with project management experience to see what Turner & Townsend can offer you.

MAIN PURPOSE

To manage delivery of safety, licensing, and assurance work packages, ensuring regulatory compliance, governance, and alignment with the wider programme.

SCOPE

Owns defined WBS elements covering nuclear permissions, HSSSEQ, and safety case activities. Manages delivery plans, reporting inputs, and coordination with SMEs and regulators.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage delivery of SLA work packages (scope, schedule, cost, risk)
  • Develop and maintain governance and delivery plans
  • Coordinate with SMEs on safety case and licensing outputs
  • Support regulatory submissions and compliance activities
  • Provide reporting inputs and track progress against milestones
  • Manage stakeholder engagement across internal and external parties
  • Identify and mitigate risks in complex regulatory environments

Internal management accountabilities, to include:

  • Staff management (where appropriate) – Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
  • Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
  • Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline
  • Working towards a professional qualification (MCIOB / APM or similar)
  • Proven experience managing HT&M projects, ideally in a consultancy environment
  • Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
  • Will be able to obtain BPSS level security clearance.
