Job Description
Due to increased opportunities and demand in the Energy & Natural Resources division, the Energy & Natural Resources team are recruiting Project Managers to join a diverse and supportive team during a period of significant growth. Our nuclear client is at the forefront of industry leading change, and we are keen to speak to individuals with project management experience to see what Turner & Townsend can offer you.
MAIN PURPOSE
To lead client-side delivery of non-NSSS scope, ensuring integrated, safe, and efficient delivery across all project lifecycle phases.
SCOPE
Manages delivery across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Oversees system integration with NSSS, balance of plant, and site infrastructure, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Project management, to include:
- Lead delivery of non-NSSS Nuclear work packages
- Manage full lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover
- Oversee integration with NSSS, BOP, and site infrastructure
- Control scope, schedule, cost, and risk for assigned packages
- Administer NEC contracts and manage commercial performance
- Coordinate stakeholders across engineering, site, and delivery teams
- Support governance, assurance, and regulatory compliance activities
Internal management accountabilities, to include:
- Staff management (where appropriate) – Inputting into the formal management of an Assistant Project Manager or small project management team, input into resource management and attendance at junior staff appraisals
- Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each project is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
- Process improvement – Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline
- Working towards a professional qualification (MCIOB / APM or similar)
- Proven experience managing HT&M projects, ideally in a consultancy environment
- Ability to successfully manage and prioritise more than one project at a time.
- Will be able to obtain BPSS level security clearance.
