We are currently mobilising a transformative, national, major programme for the construction of hospitals and we are recruiting for Project Planning Lead to work as part of the client's programme and control’s function.

Objective of the role

To support Project Management commissions in developing plans and programmes to deliver our service and projects and monitor and report against these, in accordance with defined scopes of duties and T&T systems, mission and values. To support Project Management commissions to achieve safe and efficient outcomes that meet agreed profit and client satisfaction objectives. To develop and maintain relationships with clients, peers and others who are influential in providing future business.

Responsibilities
  • Produce logic linked detailed integrated programmes fully backed up by a build strategy, construction methodology, logistics scheme and phasing plans.
  • Provide support to the project team for all planning functions ensuring that issues within the programme are highlighted and understood.
  • Give appropriate planning advice and direction to project team members & all relevant stakeholders and produce programme assurance reports.
  • Apply critical path analysis and assess the impact of change on critical and non-critical activities.
  • Provide specific programme outputs to analyse “Compensation Events” and “Early Warning Notices” impacts.
  • Produce progress reports showing variance against the baselines.
  • Deliver Period Programme Updates and input to project reports.
  • Coordinate between Clients and their partners, consultants and contractors’ programmes and ensure compliance with the Project Programme.
  • Provide planning support to the bidding team to submit bidding documentation on time.
Qualifications

A proven track record of delivering projects as a Senior Planner/Project Planner with 10+ years experience with a UK-based main contractor or project management consultancy. Experience working on major projects such as rail and highways. Proficient use of Asta Powerproject; experience with Primavera and Microsoft Project an added bonus. Experience handling NEC contracts.
