Bid Coordination Responsibilities:
- Write, review, and edit bid content to ensure alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with service division lead to drive and energise technical teams to produce winning bids.
- Develop a strong understanding of procurement processes, including bid portals, compliance documentation, and governance.
- Ensure a coherent bid strategy is developed and maintained.
- Manage tender programmes and multiple bid timelines concurrently.
- Arrange and coordinate tender and post‑tender meetings.
- Produce visually appealing bids using company templates in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of written and visual responses.
- Maintain and update the central bid library, ensuring bids are filed, meta‑tagged, and best‑practice answers captured for future use.
Business Generation Support Responsibilities:
- Understand the bid pipeline and proactively support in positioning the team to win future opportunities.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to help.
- Oversee and manage regional events to promote services and engage clients.
- Execute marketing activities using digital platforms such as LinkedIn and DotDigital.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team to define the North East brand plan and deliver sector‑focused marketing and business generation strategies.
- Collaborate with the UK communications team to promote activities and cascade opportunities.
- Collaborate with the UK campaigns team to roll‑out national campaigns in‑region.
Qualifications
Essential Technical Criteria:
- Extensive experience in a bidding role.
- Strong organisational and bid management skills with the ability to prioritise and elevate as required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while being a strong team player.
- Confident and challenging and improving bid outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience producing draft bid responses.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Experience working with bid portals.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including M365.
- Creative thinking and ability to contribute new ideas for marketing and business generation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
