The Defence Infrastructure Cost Centre provides support to projects that range in complexity and size, with our service offerings spanning Programme and Project Management, Project Planning, Cost Engineering, Risk Management and Commercial Disciplines. We support the full project lifecycle, from the earliest consideration of a need or opportunity through definition, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and transition into use, delivering infrastructure projects on behalf of our clients that range from several hundred thousand pounds in value to major projects and programmes worth over £200M.
We are actively looking to expand the team due to client requirements and welcome applications from talented project management professionals at all levels who can support our Defence client portfolio while further developing their careers through a range of complex and challenging commissions. This role offers regular opportunities to travel to client sites across the UK, working closely with client teams and key stakeholders to build relationships, collaborate on project delivery, and gain first-hand insight into complex programmes.
We have opportunities across all levels of project management within the Defence North team, supporting complex construction and infrastructure projects and programmes across the North of the UK. We are particularly interested in people who have succeeded at pre-concept, concept or early definition stages, where direction, scope, requirements and delivery arrangements were not yet clear, to help clients make informed decisions and progress with confidence.
We are looking for adaptable project professionals who understand the full lifecycle and can remain effective as projects mature, move into delivery or transfer between commissions as priorities change.

- Establishing proportionate governance, controls and delivery information as certainty develops.
- Managing stakeholders, dependencies, interfaces, risks and conflicting priorities.
- Working autonomously and providing clear recommendations that enable decisions and maintain progress.
A key aspect of this role is the opportunity to work alongside our clients on site, fostering strong partnerships and delivering successful outcomes through face-to-face collaboration. As such, regular UK travel and overnight stays should be anticipated.
