Job Description
We are seeking a Project Director to join T&Tβs new PMC team in London. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality projects for our clients, from inception to completion, and contribute to the business growth by fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. The successful individual will lead and deliver large, complex construction projects, leading a large team of construction professionals, on time and within budget, ensuring Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance that meets our contract requirements.
As a Project Director, you will:
- Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with client teams, designers, consultants, sub-contractors and 3rd party stakeholders.
- Maintain the reputation of the company for the collaborative approach, delivering safely on time, within budget, quality of finish and defect free.
- Manage the operational aspects of the project to minimise potential risks and maximise any opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a robust construction programme, updated as necessary to reflect all project time constraints.
- Ensure that the procurement schedule is produced and aligned to the construction programme.
- Oversee the appointment of all sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Oversee the preparation and management of the construction phase health and safety plan.
- Lead on Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental, ensuring best practice is adopted and ensure compliance with current legislation, working closely with the HSQ&E team.
- Organise the team structure to optimise the most efficient use of resources.
- Work closely with the project commercial team to ensure the project is delivered within the approved cost plan.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Project Director role with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
- Regular and high achiever of the end to end construction delivery process, taking a project from inception to completion, specifically on larger schemes (Β£100m - Β£500m).
- Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of construction procedures.
- MCIOB and degree qualified in a related subject.
- Up to date knowledge of building legislation and Health and Safety legislation.
- Commercial and contractual awareness.
