Turner & Townsend is actively looking for Cost Managers/Senior Cost Managers to support the delivery of new construction schemes for central and local government, including the development of new prisons across the UK. The role supports projects typically ranging from £10m to £50m, providing cost management expertise and supporting Directors on high‑profile projects.

Role Objectives

  • Prepare cost estimates, procurement documents and manage tendering activities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and create final cost plans.
  • Administer contracts, including variation, final accounts and financial reporting.
  • Interface with clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage cost risk analysis, value engineering and change control processes.
  • Lead post‑contract cost variance analyses and negotiations.
  • Contribute to the wider team and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record delivering high‑quality cost management/quantity surveying services.
  • Professional qualification (RICS or similar) preferred.
  • Degree or HNC level qualification.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
